Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) finished 1-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sluchinski lost 7-5 to Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NO), then responded with a 10-3 win over Justin Runciman (Edmonton, AB). Sluchinski went on to lose 8-5 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB). Sluchinski lost 7-2 to Glenn Venance (Penticton, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Sluchinski earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 7 of the event schedule, Sluchinski did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sluchinski ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
