To advance to the championship game, Martin/Laycock won 8-7 over Rebecca Hamilton/Matt Hamilton (McFarland, WI) in the semifinals of the Colorado Curling Cup in Lafayette, Colorado, United States; and won 5-4 over Madison Bear/Aidan Oldenburg (Chaska, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the Colorado Curling Cup in Lafayette, Colorado, United States;

Martin/Laycock finished 3-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin/Laycock defeated Melissa Fountain/Austin Fountain (Lafayette, CO) 8-4, then won 8-1 against Gloria Chao/Anthony Fowler (Chicago, IL) and 8-3 against Anne Pifer/Neil Pifer (Kannapolis, NC). Martin/Laycock went on to lose 9-8 against Lexi Daly/Luc Violette (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Colorado Curling Cup, Martin/Laycock take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $4,059CDN prize.
