CHAMPION: Hoesli Wins 2024 Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge

Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) won 8-4 over Jan Iseli (Solothurn , SUI) in the Final of the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge, held October 25 - 27, 2024 in Bern, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Hoesli won 7-2 over Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER) in the semifinals of the 2024 Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge in Bern, Switzerland; and won 8-5 over Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals.

Hoesli finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoesli defeated Simon Spits (Zoetermeer, NED) 10-4, then won 7-3 against Stefano Gilli (Pinerolo, ITA). Hoesli went on to lose 7-6 against Totzek. Hoesli responded with a 7-3 win over Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). Hoesli won 6-2 against James Craik (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge Championship title, Hoesli earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $8,028CDN first prize cheque. For week 13 of the event schedule, Hoesli did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hoesli ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
