To advance to the championship game, Sturmay won 5-4 over Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) in the semifinals of the 2025 Crestwood Platinum Anniversary Showdown in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-5 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2025 Crestwood Platinum Anniversary Showdown in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;

Sturmay finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay lost 7-4 to Alena Yurko (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 7-6 win over Michelle Hartwell (Edmonton, AB). Sturmay went on to lose 7-5 against Brown. Sturmay responded with a 7-2 win over Gracelyn Richards (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Crestwood Platinum Anniversary Showdown Championship title, Sturmay earned 26.250 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. Sturmay move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 24.375 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 28th overall with 117.657 total points on the World Ranking Standings. WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Edmonton’s Team Selena Sturmay solidified a berth into the 2025 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials, presented by Connect Hearing, with a 9-4 win over Team Kayla MacMillan (Victoria) in the third and final game of the women’s best-of-three final at the 2025 Home Hardware Canadian Pre-Trials on Sunday afternoon.
