Roffe Sagen (Christiandssands, NOR) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sagen lost 6-4 to Magnus Vaagberg (Lillehammer, NOR), then responded with a 5-3 win over Lukas Hostmaelingen (Hafjell, NOR). Sagen went on to lose 8-7 against Kjetil Bjoerke (Oslo, NOR). Sagen responded with a 9-0 win over Flemming Davanger (Jar, NOR). Sagen went on to lose 8-4 against Lars Aspeli (Lillehammer, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Sagen earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 33 of the event schedule, Sagen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sagen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
