Markus Doerum (Oppdal, NOR) finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Doerum defeated Kjell Berg (Oslo, NOR) 7-5, then won 8-2 against Roy Dorholt (Oslo, NOR). Doerum lost 7-2 to Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) where Doerum responded with a 7-3 win over Sigurd Svorkmo-Lundberg (Lillehammer, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Doerum earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 33 of the event schedule, Doerum did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Doerum ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
