Landan Rooney (Little Current, NO) won 6-3 over Jacob Lamb (Dundas, ON) in the Final of the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel, held October 17 - 20, 2024 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Rooney won 6-4 over Rob Ainsley (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-6 over Scott Brandon (Palmerston , ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada;

Rooney finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rooney defeated Travis Fanset (Tilsonburg, ON) 9-5, then won 7-3 against Jeff Brown (North Bay, NO). Rooney went on to lose 1-0 against Sam Steep (Waterloo, ON). Rooney responded with a 1-0 win over Daniel Hocevar (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel Championship title, Rooney earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $3,800CDN first prize cheque. For week 12 of the event schedule, Rooney did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rooney ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
