Kayla MacMillan (Victoria, BC) qualified for the 2024 RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against Xenia Schwaller (Zurich, SUI).

MacMillan finished 3-2 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacMillan defeated Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB) 7-2, then won 5-2 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitmami, JPN). MacMillan went on to lose 6-5 against Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB). MacMillan lost 7-6 to Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) where MacMillan responded with a 7-2 win over Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

MacMillan earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown. MacMillan move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 12.75 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 23rd overall with 144.149 total points on the World Ranking Standings. MacMillan ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 102.313 points earned so far this season.
