Sherry Just/Kyle Cherpin (Prince Albert, SK) finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Just/Cherpin lost 9-2 to Ying Yang/Jiafeng Tian (Beijing, CHN), droppimg another game, 5-4 to Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Yamanasshi, JPN) where Just/Cherpin responded with a 9-8 win over Jill Springer/Garret Springer (Regina, SK). Just/Cherpin won 11-4 against Alex Ashton/James Gordon (Saskatoon, SK), then won 8-5 against Shelby Lamontagne/Grady LaMontagne (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Just/Cherpin earned 4.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 16 of the event schedule, Just/Cherpin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Just/Cherpin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
