Yang/Tian Reaches Mixed Doubles Super Series

Ying Yang/Jiafeng Tian (Beijing, CHN) qualified for the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Saskatchewan playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-5 against Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS).

Yang/Tian finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yang/Tian defeated Sherry Just/Kyle Cherpin (Prince Albert, SK) 9-2, then won 9-6 against Shelby Lamontagne/Grady LaMontagne (Saskatoon, SK). Yang/Tian went on to lose 9-2 against Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Yamanasshi, JPN). Yang/Tian lost 7-6 to Jill Springer/Garret Springer (Regina, SK) where Yang/Tian responded with a 10-3 win over Alex Ashton/James Gordon (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Yang/Tian earned 12.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Saskatchewan. For week 16 of the event schedule, Yang/Tian did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Yang/Tian ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
