In their opening game, Skaslien/Nedregotten defeated Kate Ector/Justice Jacques (Calgary, AB) 6-4, then won 6-5 against Sarah Wark/Corey Chester (Victoria, BC) and 5-3 against Chiaki Matsumura/Yasumasa Tanida (Nagano/Hokkaido, JPN).
