Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) run at the 2024 SGI Canada Best of the West came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-4 loss to Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2024 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;

McDonald finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McDonald defeated Ryan Parent (Calgary, AB) 6-2, then went on to lose 5-3 against Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB). McDonald responded with a 8-7 win over Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC). McDonald won 8-4 against Josh Bryden (Regina, SK), then won 5-3 against Kleiter in their final qualifying round match.

McDonald earned 10.625 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the SGI Canada Best of the West. McDonald move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 6.125 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 47th overall with 72.188 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McDonald ranks 47th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 72.188 points earned so far this season.
