Jayden King (London, ON) lost 5-1 to Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the U25 NextGen Classic, held August 27 - 30, 2024 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, King won 11-4 over Sam Mooibroek (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals
 
King finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, King defeated Kibo Mulima (Kingston, ON) 8-6, then won 7-5 against Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB) and 6-4 against Bradley Moser (Saskatoon, SK). King won 5-3 against McDonald, then won 7-3 against Nathan Young (St.John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the U25 NextGen Classic, King take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize. For week 5 of the event schedule, King did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. King ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
