Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) finished 2-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wipf defeated Kieran Channon (Edmonton, AB) 8-1, then went on to lose 5-4 against Josh Bryden (Regina, SK). Wipf responded with a 7-4 win over Peter Hlushak (Spruce Grove, AB). Wipf went on to lose 8-7 against Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB). Wipf lost 9-1 to Hlushak in their final qualifying round match.

For week 17 of the event schedule, Wipf did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
