Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) lost 8-5 to Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Saville Shootout, held September 6 - 9, 2024 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McDonald won 5-4 over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2024 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-7 over Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
McDonald finished 5-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McDonald defeated Brent Pierce (New Westminister, BC) 6-4, then won 8-2 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) and 6-4 against Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB). McDonald won 7-4 against Steve Laycock (Swift Current, SK), then won 9-8 against McEwen in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Saville Shootout, McDonald take home 27.500 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize. For week 6 of the event schedule, McDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
