To advance to the championship game, Papley/van Amsterdam won 10-9 over Chiaki Matsumura/Yasumasa Tanida (Nagano/Hokkaido, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Saville Mixed Doubles Classic in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-4 over Rachel Homan/Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Saville Mixed Doubles Classic in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
Papley/van Amsterdam finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Papley/van Amsterdam lost 7-6 to Amy Wheatcroft/Adam Naugler (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 6-4 win over Ashley Kalk/Craig MacAlpine (Edmonton, AB). Papley/van Amsterdam won 8-2 against Emma Yarmuch/Lucas Sawiak (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-4 against Homan/Bottcher in their final qualifying round match.
