Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN) won 7-5 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the Final of the Saville Shootout, held September 6 - 9 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Tabata won 7-4 over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-5 over Eun ji Gim (Gyeonggido, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Tabata finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tabata defeated Jessica McCartney (Saskatoon, SK) 9-2, then went on to lose 4-3 against Gim. Tabata responded with a 10-8 win over Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK). Tabata won 8-1 against Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB), then won 9-2 against Robyn Silvernagle (Sexsmith, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Saville Shootout Championship title, Tabata earned 48.750 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 6 of the event schedule, Tabata did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tabata ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
