Berg finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Berg lost 7-6 to Andy Turner (Columbus, OH), then responded with a 6-3 win over Nick Drews (Chaska, MN). Berg won 11-2 against Charles Taggart (Anchorage, AK), then won 7-6 against Ryan Carlson (Wauwatosa, WI) and 6-0 against Justin McBride (Anaheim, CA) in their final qualifying round match.
