Ian Deschene (Sudbury, NO) finished 3-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deschene defeated Alex Duncan-Wu (Salmon Arm, BC) 8-5, then won 7-6 against Jack MacFayden (Summerside, PEI). Deschene went on to lose 7-6 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). Deschene lost 11-5 to Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS) where Deschene responded with a 8-5 win over Jace Freeman (Virden, MB). Deschene went on to lose 9-3 against Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO). Deschene lost 10-6 to Kibo Mulima (Guelph, ON). Deschene lost 8-7 to Timothy Marin (Sherwood Park, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Deschene earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 36 of the event schedule, Deschene did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Deschene ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
