To advance to the championship game, Manuel won 7-6 over Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC) in the semifinals of the Charlevoix Challenge de Curling Desjardins in Clermont, Quebec; and won 8-5 over Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the Charlevoix Challenge de Curling Desjardins in Clermont, Quebec;
Manuel finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Manuel defeated Mathieu Beaufort (Aurele-Racine, QC) 7-2, then won 6-3 against Greg Smith (St. John's, NL). Manuel went on to lose 8-6 against Cory Schuh (St. John's, NL). Manuel responded with a 6-4 win over Jacob Lamb (Dundas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Charlevoix Challenge de Curling Desjardins Championship title, Manuel earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $8,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 17 of the event schedule, Manuel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Manuel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
