To advance to the championship game, Kim won 5-1 over Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 6-3 over Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;

Kim finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Allie Giroux (Chaska, MN) 13-0, then went on to lose 8-3 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB). Kim responded with a 8-0 win over Kitazawa. Kim won 6-4 against Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the DEKALB Superspiel, Kim take home 27.500 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize. For week 17 of the event schedule, Kim did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kim ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
