Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) qualified for the 2025 Astec Safety Challenge playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2025 Astec Safety Challenge in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada;
 
Whyte finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) 6-1, then won 6-3 against Brad Jacobs (Edmonton, AB). Whyte went on to lose 13-6 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Whyte responded with a 6-1 win over Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Whyte earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Astec Safety Challenge, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 13.125 after improving upon their best so far this season. Whyte ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 207.250 points earned so far this season.
