Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB) 8-3, then went on to lose 8-0 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Retornaz responded with a 10-1 win over Carl deConinck Smith (Swift Current, SK). Retornaz went on to lose 6-4 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). Retornaz lost 9-4 to Libbus in their final qualifying round match.
 
Retornaz earned 5.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Retornaz did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 6th to 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 305.500 total points.
