Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) won 9-4 over Steph Jackson-Baier (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the Island Shootout, held November 7 - 11, 2024 at the Victoria Curling Club in Victoria, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Reese-Hansen won 5-4 over Dailene Pewarchuk (Victoria, BC) in the semifinals
Reese-Hansen finished 4-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Reese-Hansen defeated Jackson-Baier 7-5, then won 9-3 against Woodward (Victoria, BC) and 5-4 against Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC). Reese-Hansen won 7-0 against Shiella Cowan (Maple Ridge, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Island Shootout Championship title, Reese-Hansen earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 15 of the event schedule, Reese-Hansen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Reese-Hansen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
