In their opening game, Black defeated Mary Myketyn-Driscoll (Halifax, NS) 10-2, then won 5-1 against Sarah Mallais (Moncton, NB) and 8-7 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Whitby, ON). Black won 6-1 against Sylvie Quillian (Moncton, NB), then won 6-3 against Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, Black take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize.
