To advance to the championship game, Mooibroek won 9-7 over Julien Tremblay (Quebec, QC) in the semifinals of the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada;

Mooibroek finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. .
