Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) lost 7-6 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in the Final of the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, held October 30 - November 3, 2024 at the Halifax Curling Club in Halifax, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Mooibroek won 9-7 over Julien Tremblay (Quebec, QC) in the semifinals of the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada;

Mooibroek finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS) 7-6, then won 10-1 against Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS) and 7-3 against Greg Smith (St. John's, NL). Mooibroek won 7-6 against Taylor Ardiel (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, Mooibroek take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN prize. For week 14 of the event schedule, Mooibroek did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
