To advance to the championship game, McEwen won 10-3 over Brad Jacobs (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2024 PointsBet Invitational in Calgary, Alberta; and won 10-3 over Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 PointsBet Invitational in Calgary, Alberta;

McEwen finished in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the PointsBet Invitational Championship title, McEwen earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $50,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 9 of the event schedule, McEwen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McEwen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
