Freeman finished 3-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Freeman defeated Nash Sugden (Morden, MB) 6-5, then won 6-3 against Zach Norris (Morris, MB). Freeman went on to lose 11-4 against McDonald. Freeman responded with a 7-3 win over Rylan Campbell (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Manitoba U21 Junior Provincial Championships, Freeman take home 2.750 world rankings points, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 105th place overall with 20.063 total points. Freeman ranks 106th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.063 points earned so far this season.
