Hopson/Tippett went on to lose 9-8 against Katie Ford/Oliver Campbell (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Hopson/Tippett responded with a 7-6 win over Mackenzie Kiemele/Graham Singer (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Hopson/Tippett earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Hopson/Tippett did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 117th to 121st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 11.250 total points.
