Wright won 7-5 against Sonny DiFranco (Ottawa, ON), then won 9-4 against Ryan Hastings (Oshawa, ON). Wright went on to lose 9-5 against Tyler MacTavish (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
