Tyler MacTavish (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) lost 8-4 to Kibo Mulima (Guelph, ON) in the Final of the U21 Ontario Provincials, held February 28 - March 2, 2024 at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club in Dundas, Canada. To advance to the championship game, MacTavish won 7-6 over Noah Garner (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 U21 Ontario Provincials in Dundas, Ontario, Canada;
MacTavish finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacTavish defeated Sonny DiFranco (Ottawa, ON) 8-6, then won 7-6 against Ryan Hastings (Oshawa, ON) and 9-4 against Garner. MacTavish went on to lose 10-6 against Mulima. MacTavish lost 10-6 to Aaron Benning (Ottawa, ON) where MacTavish responded with a 10-9 win over Evan MacDougall (Hamilton, ON). MacTavish won 9-5 against Wyatt Wright (Hamilton, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the U21 Ontario Provincials, MacTavish take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 32 of the event schedule, MacTavish did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacTavish ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
