Julia Markle (London, ON) won 6-1 over Ava Acres (Ottawa, ON) in the Final Markle advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the U21 Ontario Provincials, held February 28 - March 2, 2024 at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club in Dundas, Canada.
Markle finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Markle defeated Isabelle Daigle (Ottawa, ON) 10-5, then won 8-5 against Katelin Langford (Peterborough, ON) and 7-4 against Acres. Markle won 7-2 against Charlotte Johnston (Barrie, ON), then won 10-4 against Abbey Parkinson (Dundas, ON) and 7-3 against Daniela Aucoin (Grimsby, ON). Markle won 7-4 against Jenny Madden (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the U21 Ontario Provincials Championship title, Markle earned 3.750 world rankings points, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 125th place overall with 12.876 total points. Markle ranks 125th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.876 points earned so far this season.
