Gushue lost 8-4 to Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals to drop into the third place game.
 
Gushue finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR) 10-3, then won 17-1 against Ken Hsu (Taipei City, TPE) and 10-5 against Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL). Gushue won 7-5 against Shuster, then won 7-5 against Abe and 13-8 against Australia's Steve Johns. Gushue won 7-4 against Xiao Ming Xu (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their fourth place finish at the Pan-Continental Championships, Gushue take home 15.000 world rankings points. For week 14 of the event schedule, Gushue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gushue ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
