Hoesli finished 4-0 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoesli defeated Nathan Young (St. John's, NL) 7-2, then won 7-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN) and 4-2 against Scott Howard (Navan, ON) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 7-0 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Henderson Metal Fall Classic presented by Kioti Tractors of Ontario, Hoesli take home 38.500 world rankings points along with the $19,000CDN prize.
