Schwaller finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Jan Tanner (Zug, SUI) 9-2, then won 5-2 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) and 5-3 against Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI). Schwaller won 8-3 against Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI), then won 5-2 against Manuel Jermann (Arlesheim, SUI) and 7-3 against Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI). Schwaller won 7-4 against Switzerland's Andrin Schnider in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Swiss National Championship Championship title, Schwaller earned 45.000 world rankings points, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 15.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Schwaller ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 305.750 points earned so far this season.
