Miyu Ueno (Karuizawa, JPN) won 5-4 over Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN) in the Final of the ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship, held January 27 - February 4, 2024 in Tokoro, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Ueno won 6-5 over Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship in Tokoro, Japan;
Ueno finished 5-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ueno defeated Aoi Watanabe (Chubu, JPN) 11-3, then won 11-4 against Riho Zaikan (Okayama, JPN) and 7-5 against Yuna Kotani (Sapporo, JPN). Ueno went on to lose 5-3 against Kitazawa. Ueno responded with a 10-8 win over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Ueno won 7-3 against Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN). Ueno went on to lose 6-4 against Tabata in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship Championship title, Ueno earned 41.250 world rankings points. Ueno move up 14 spots after posting a net gain of 26.788 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 27th overall with 108.125 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Ueno ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 108.125 points earned so far this season.
