Darren Higgins (Summerside, PEI) finished 3-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Higgins defeated Tyler Harris (Crapaud, PEI) 8-5, then won 9-5 against Jamie Newson (Crapaud, PEI). Higgins went on to lose 11-6 against Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI). Higgins lost 10-6 to Harris where Higgins responded with a 9-6 win over Steven van Ouwerkerk (Crapaud, PEI). Higgins went on to lose 9-1 against Smith in their final qualifying round match.

Higgins earned 0.563 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Higgins did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Higgins ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
