Clancy Grandy (Vancouver, BC) won 11-3 over Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in the Final of the BC Scotties, held January 23 - 28, 2024 in Esquimalt, British Columbia.
Grandy finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grandy defeated Emily Bowles (Victoria, BC) 9-1, then won 7-3 against Diane Gushulak (Vancouver, BC) and 10-5 against Steph Jackson-Baier (Victoria, BC). Grandy won 10-2 against Kristen Ryan (Maple Ridge, BC), then won 9-2 against Brown and 14-7 against Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC). Grandy won 9-7 against Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Scotties Championship title, Grandy earned 11.250 world rankings points. Grandy move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 6 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 24th overall with 148.219 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Grandy ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 93.750 points earned so far this season.
