Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) won 5-2 over Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the BC Men's Curling Championship, held January 23 - 28, 2024 in Esquimalt, British Columbia.
Schneider finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schneider defeated Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC) 7-5, then won 12-9 against Sebastien Robillard (Langley, BC) to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 7-6 against Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC). Schneider responded with a 8-4 win over Montgomery to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 11-9 against Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Men's Curling Championship Championship title, Schneider earned 11.250 world rankings points. Schneider move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 7 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 33rd overall with 116.145 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Schneider ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 86.500 points earned so far this season.
