Richard finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Richard defeated Jared Kolomaya (Richmond, BC) 9-5, then won 8-3 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 7-6 against Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Richard earned 6.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the BC Men's Curling Championship. Richard move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 4.5 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 60th overall with 57.133 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
