Kotaro Noguchi (Sendai-shi, JPN) lost 8-6 to Kouhei Sato (Tohoku, JPN) in the Final of the Tohoku Curling Championships, held December 8 - 12, 2023 in Tohoku, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Noguchi won 11-6 over Chikara Segawa (Morioka, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Tohoku Curling Championships in Tohoku, Japan;
Noguchi finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Noguchi defeated Kazuhito Hunaki (Tohoku, JPN) 8-7, then won 10-4 against Kenji Kawamori (Tohoku, JPN) and 9-8 against Yasuhiro Sano (Tohoku, JPN). Noguchi went on to lose 5-4 against Yuun Ishimura (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Tohoku Curling Championships, Noguchi take home 2.750 world rankings points, moving up 19 spots the World Ranking Standings into 145th place overall with 15.625 total points. Noguchi ranks 163rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.938 points earned so far this season.
