To advance to the championship game, Freeman won 7-5 over Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the Brandon Berth Bonspiel in Brandon, Manitoba; and won 9-3 over Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Brandon Berth Bonspiel in Brandon, Manitoba;
Freeman finished 3-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Freeman lost 6-5 to Cale Dunbar (Brandon, MB), then responded with a 6-3 win over Chris Bridges (Rivers, MB). Freeman went on to lose 6-4 against Gregory. Freeman responded with a 6-5 win over Andrew Kempthorne (Brandon, MB) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 4-3 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Brandon Berth Bonspiel Championship title, Freeman earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 19 spots the World Ranking Standings into 134th place overall with 16.399 total points. Freeman ranks 114th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.063 points earned so far this season.
