Danielle Schmiemann/Jason Ginter (Edmonton, AB) lost 9-7 to Amanda Sluchinski/Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in the Final of the Curling Alberta Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship, held December 28 - 31, 2023 at the Lethbridge Curling Club in Lethbridge, . To advance to the championship game, Schmiemann/Ginter won 7-5 over Kaylee Raniseth/Evan Crough (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals   of the 2023 Curling Alberta Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship in Lethbridge; and won 9-8 over Brittany Tran/Bradley Thiessen (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2023 Curling Alberta Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship in Lethbridge; 
 
Schmiemann/Ginter finished 4-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schmiemann/Ginter defeated Cheryl Damen/Tyler van Amsterdam (Calgary, AB) 10-7, then won 7-6 against Sluchinski/Sluchinski to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 7-6 against Paige Papley/Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB). Schmiemann/Ginter responded with a 9-5 win over Brenna Bilassy/Braden Pelech (St. Albert, AB) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 7-6 against Kayla Skrlik/Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
