Bowles finished 2-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bowles defeated Veronica Bernard (New Westminster, BC) 7-5, then won 8-3 against Wark in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC Scotties Open Qualifier Championship title, Bowles earned 3.750 world rankings points, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 159th place overall with 8.141 total points. Bowles ranks 146th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.875 points earned so far this season.
