Shuster responded with a 9-3 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR). Shuster won 9-4 against Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR). Shuster went on to lose 7-6 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). Shuster responded with a 5-4 win over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Shuster went on to lose 8-2 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Shuster lost 6-5 to Shinya Abe (Karuizawa, JPN). Shuster lost 6-4 to Niklas Edin (Ornskoldsvik, SWE) where Shuster responded with a 10-2 win over Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Shuster won 10-4 against Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL), then won 6-3 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Shuster earned 33.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the LGT World Men's Curling Championship.
