Plett finished 6-0 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Plett defeated Ambra Paslaru (Bucharest, ROU) 15-1, then won 7-3 against Daniela Garcia Revuelto (San Sebastien, ESP) and 7-3 against Rebecca Mariani (Trentino, ITA).
