Wesley Wendling (Wausau, USA) lost 7-4 to Johnson Tao (Edmonton, CAN) in the Final of the World Junior-B Curling Championships, held December 14 - 19, 2023 in Lohja, Finland. To advance to the championship game, Wendling won 7-2 over Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN) in the semifinals of the 2024 World Junior-B Curling Championships in Lohja, Finland; and won 7-2 over Lorinc Tatar (Budapest, HUN) in the quarterfinals.
 
Wendling finished 5-1 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wendling defeated Ching Nam Cheng (Hong Kong, HKG) 8-6, then won 10-4 against Benjamin Holcombe (Kent, ENG). Wendling went on to lose 9-7 against William Becker (Naseby, NZL). Wendling responded with a 8-5 win over Roberts Buncis (Riga, LAT). Wendling won 10-5 against Vitor De Melo (Sao Paulo, BRA), then won 6-3 against Schmidt in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the World Junior-B Curling Championships, Wendling take home 5.500 world rankings points, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 109th place overall with 27.162 total points. Wendling ranks 94th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.500 points earned so far this season.
