Adela Walczak (Lodz, POL) finished 4-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walczak lost 8-5 to Astrid Pfluegler (Kitzbuehel, AUT), then responded with a 10-2 win over Madeleine Spurgeon (Kingston, JAM). Walczak won 9-6 against Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN), then won 6-5 against Laura Beever (Hawarden, WAL) and 7-6 against Antonieta Martins Ethier (Lisbon, POR). Walczak went on to lose 12-3 against Kseniya Shevchuk (Megeve, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.

Walczak earned 3.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 20 of the event schedule, Walczak did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 37th to 38th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 58.266 total points. Walczak ranks 33rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.000 points earned so far this season.
