Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN) finished 7-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yang defeated Laura Beever (Hawarden, WAL) 13-1, then won 9-6 against Antonieta Martins Ethier (Lisbon, POR). Yang went on to lose 9-6 against Adela Walczak (Lodz, POL). Yang responded with a 10-3 win over Astrid Pfluegler (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Yang won 10-2 against Madeleine Spurgeon (Kingston, JAM), then won 7-2 against Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL) and 6-1 against Kseniya Shevchuk (Megeve, FRA). Yang went on to lose 7-5 against Lena Kapp (Fuessen, GER). Yang responded with a 9-3 win over Csilia Halasz (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.

Yang earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2023. For week 20 of the event schedule, Yang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 55th place on the World Ranking Standings with 35.252 total points. Yang ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 35.252 points earned so far this season.
