Dylan Derksen (Martensville, SK) run at the 2023 Curling Alberta Excel Cup came to an end in the semifinals with a 12-2 loss to Kinley Burton (Edmonton, AB). of the 2023 Curling Alberta Excel Cup in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada;

Derksen finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Derksen defeated Adam Elsenheimer (Edmonton, AB) 7-4, then went on to lose 6-2 against Peter Hlushak (Edmonton, AB). Derksen responded with a 4-3 win over Adam Fenton (New Westminster, BC). Derksen won 5-4 against Lowell Whittmire (Castor, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Derksen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
